Responsible to: Clinical Nurse Manager II & Ultimately the Director of Nursing
Location: Mount Carmel Hospital, Dublin 14
Contract Type: Temporary 6 months - 25.5 hours

Salary: In line with DoHC Scales & dependent on experience

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating nursing care for a group of babies within a defined clinical area under the direct supervision of the Manager and Consultant.

Essential Criteria:

• Be on the live register with An Bord Altranais or to be entitled to do so.
• Have completed a Neo Natal Intensive Care Course.
• 3 years experience in a Special Care Baby Unit essential.

The successful candidate will demonstrate the following:

• Effective communication skills, both orally and in writing.
• Flexibility and the ability to work as part of a team.
• Ability to cope with stressful situations and to work without supervision.
• Experience of maintaining a safe environment for all patients, staff and visitors.

Title: Registered Midwife

Contract Type: Permanent – Full time, 37.5 hours

Job Summary:
The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing, planning, providing and evaluating safe and effective midwifery care. Applicants must be willing to work in all areas of midwifery and to apply knowledge, skills and attidtudes to ensure high quality women centred care is continually offered to patients

Essential Criteria:

• Be registered in the General Division and the Midwifery Division of the live Register of Nurses maintained by An Bord Altranais.
• Have evidence of on going education and professional development.
• 2 years post registration midwifery experience.

We are currently inviting applications for the following post:

House Doctor/RMO - Full Time

This is an exciting opportunity for an individual with a keen interest in developing within orthopaedics as the post will include assisting the orthopaedic consultant in theatre. This role will also extend to the general medical and surgical setting with key responsibilities associated with both INAB and JCI accreditation.

• Applicants must be fully registered with the Medical Council of Ireland
• Experience working as part of a multi-disciplinary surgical team, experience within the orthopaedic setting is desirable but not essential
• Up to date certification in ACLS with the ability to demonstrate leadership skills in the event of a medical emergency
• Up to date PALS training would be an advantage
• An understanding of working within the private health sector would be an advantage but not essential
